SZJ Invited to GaoGong Energy Storage Summit

December 14-16, 2023 GaoGong Energy Storage Annual Conference and Gaogong Golden Ball Award Ceremony was grandly opened in Shenzhen, with the theme of “Breaking through the involution – Endeavoring to sail forward”. Dr. Wang Lei, Director of R&D Department of SZJ, was invited to attend the conference and delivered a speech titled “Progress of Automated Assembly Technology of Large Battery Cells for Energy Storage”.
As the top event in the energy storage industry, the conference covers the entire energy storage industry chain and attracts business leaders and industry elites to gather together to brainstorm and discuss the future development trend of energy storage technology.
At the conference, Dr. Wang Lei pointed out that with the large-scale development and utilization of renewable energy around the world, the importance of energy storage batteries in the power system has become increasingly prominent. Although the energy storage battery industry at home and abroad shows a booming trend, but the related equipment manufacturing technology is still lagging behind, which hinders the further development of the energy storage battery industry.
Dr. Wang Lei especially emphasized that the improvement of battery equipment manufacturing technology is crucial to realize the mass production of energy storage batteries, which involves the efficient logistics technology of large cells and digital unmanned production technology. As a leader in the domestic lithium battery equipment manufacturing industry, SZJ has made outstanding contributions to the sustainable development of the energy storage battery industry through continuous innovation of production processes and equipment, and strengthening of technological research and development.
For example, in terms of turnkey equipment for automated assembly line for large cylindrical battery cells, SZJ provides roll groove sealing and laser sealing solutions focusing on the manufacturing of large cylindrical battery cells with core technologies such as high-efficiency transmission drive, tab molding, laser welding, etc. The single line capacity is up to 350PPM, and the pass rate is up to over 99.5%, which provides efficient and stable technical support for the production of energy storage batteries and promotes the development of mass production in the industry.
In terms of prismatic cells, the ultra-high speed laser vertical welding module and ultra-high speed laser top cover vertical welding welding machine developed by SZJ demonstrated its leading position in the energy storage industry. These machines have demonstrated high productivity of more than 25PPM and linear welding speed of more than 400mm/s. The high quality and consistency of welding appearance have been proven to be the best in the energy storage market which maintains the product yield more than 99.5%.
These technical innovations show the excellent capability of SZJ in battery production equipment technology, and at the same time provide reliable high-quality and high-efficiency production solutions for the energy storage industry.
